My Journey

Hi, I’m Heaven! a sophomore at Howard University and the founder of Dorm Glow Co., a candle brand created with safety, comfort, and college life in mind.

I started making candles at just 14 years old. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into a passion and a small business I ran with pride. But in February 2023, my family lost our home in a devastating house fire. Along with it, I lost all my candle supplies and a piece of my dream.

After a long pause, I decided to turn that loss into purpose. I relaunched my candle brand with a new mission: to create dorm-safe, wickless candles that celebrate HBCU culture and the Black college experience. No flames, no fire hazards — just cozy, vibe-setting candles that won’t get you written up.

Whether you’re decorating your first dorm, decompressing after midterms, or looking for the perfect gift, Dorm Glow Co. was made for students like you.
